About Marriage and Relationship Coach Jack Ito PhD

Coach Jack Ito PhDHello,

Are you still looking for the love that you haven't been able to find? I spent many years trying to find it, too, before I discovered how to create what I was looking for.

My own personal hell started when I was five years old. My earliest memories are of hiding under my bed with my hands pressed to my ears while my parents fought. I was so scared. Scared for my mom. Scared for myself. My father had proved over and over again that there was good reason to be.

Part of my own healing was making my past more meaningful by helping children and couples to be able to change the nightmare of their reality. To not have to endure their situation, but to change it. My mother didn't know what to do. She was angry and scared, too. And, she didn't know how she could make it on her own. Now, I know that with some help, she could have improved her relationship for all of us--my father, too. I don't blame her because she didn't know how. We were very close, but I lost her more than 30 years ago.

I could say that now I do marriage and relationship coaching and help people save their relationships, but that doesn't really tell you what I do. What I really do is

What I can tell you from my experiences is that it is all very doable. I have never encountered a relationship that could not be improved in some significant way.

To update you on my life, my kids don't hide under the bed. I have two sons and they are both in college and doing well. My wife is a marriage counselor for Japanese people. I took her name when we married, that's how I became an "Ito" (originally I'm from Vermont). My wife is my best friend, my lover, my helper--a true partner. One of my personal goals is to make her laugh every day. It's usually not too hard. If you are curious about her, you can visit her website (toshieito.com).

Daily, I have coaching sessions and also write. I have published one book for women with difficult husbands, called What to Do When He Won't Change. I have one book awaiting publication which is a self-help book for people who are in counseling (combining the best of both for maximum healing). The book I'm working on now is for both men and women to be able to improve conflict areas with a difficult partner (affairs, addictions, financial conflict, and many other areas). I also have a blog.

My practice includes people from many countries. Most of the people I work with are from North America, but I also have clients from the United Kingdom, Australia, and the Middle East. I get email from all over the world and try to respond to as many people as I can. It really shows me how God can use a bad situation that happened to me to bring about good. I believe He can do the same for you.

I love my work and I love helping people. Don't be shy about contacting me. I'm here to help if you need me.
